Karen’s graduate work was completed at Azusa Pacific University in 2002. She graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Karen’s undergraduate work was completed at California State University Fullerton in 1986. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Child Development.
Over the past fifteen years Karen has worked with adults and children across the developmental age span.
Karen has worked in the college setting at Vanguard University-Journey’s Counseling Ministry in Costa Mesa, CA.
Karen has co-lead a Domestic Violence group at the Gary Center in La Habra, CA.
Karen’s work has extended into the elementary school setting for the Upland Unified School District in Upland, CA.
Karen entered private practice with Chino Hills Counseling and since has opened her own practice in Brea, CA. She focuses her practice on individual, couples and marital counseling.
In this field of work, life experience really counts! Karen is a wife, mother, sister, daughter and step mother. Her skills as a therapist have been greatly enhanced by many experiences that have grown her, matured her and given her the ability to empathize with the many issues her clients bring to therapy.
In her free time Karen enjoys decorating her home, gardening, catching a movie with her husband and the company of good friends.
Karen has attended the same church for 25 years in Fullerton, CA.
